If you haven't made a trip to the Brownstone Pancake Factory in Edgewater, New Jersey, you are seriously missing out. This is one of our favorite "go to" destinations because we are always able to try something new and we love to chat with the dedicated man behind this tasty restaurant. Brownstone owner, Bobby, has devoted his life to creating flavorful dishes in a fun way. Just about any time you visit, you will see Bobby working the register or topping of pancakes interesting ingredients. Plus, the menu options he has come up with are so unique and of course, delicious.
Brownstone Pancake Factory makes you feel like a freaking celebrity when you show up. With their complimentary valet service the stress of finding a parking spot is completely diminished from your list of worries. All you need to do is wait in a short line before one of the Brownstone boys comes over to take your keys. Then, boom, you are out of your car and standing at the front doors, hassle free. Also the turnover there is incredible! Some people get super freaked out over long lines and wait times, but you will never have to wait two hours for a table here. The staff works extra hard to get everyone seated, served and satisfied quickly. And they do it with a smile on their face.
The overall design of Brownstone Factory is clever and quirky plus the menu matches the design and gives you a large array of options to indulge yourself in from savory to sweet. You'll notice not only a packed house (especially on a Sunday,) but you'll constantly be exposed to eye-catching dishes flying by your table. You probably don't even need to look at the menu to determine what you want. Whenever we visit, we end up with a number of dishes that involve some sort of unique pancakes and fried chicken. We also always ask our server what a different table ordered so we can get it too. This time around we decided to relive our childhood and get the fruity pebble waffles. These waffles were SO GOOD. They really did bring us back to eating a bowl of fruity pebbles on a Sunday morning while watching cartoons on Nickelodeon. The waffle is massive and made with a special recipe, then topped off with the sweetness of icing, powdered sugar, strawberry syrup and vanilla ice cream. Always served at just the right temperature, it is difficult to not eat the entire thing in under a few minutes.
Brownstone Pancake is a must visit!
