KITH introduces a fashion forward lifestyle brand for men, women and children with a sweet cereal-infused ice cream component you can only find in this unique establishment.
Footwear, fashion and flavor
Created in 2011 by Queens native Ronnie Fieg, KITH’s mission is to offer a variety of premium and multi-functional products in a progressive retail store. He has been a powerhouse figure in the footwear industry for over two years and has worked from a store stock boy to head buyer. Now his trendy store specializes in selling the KITH label and multi-brand apparel and footwear in five different store locations and two shop-in-shops at Bergdorf Goodman and Hirshleifers.
In 2015, Ronnie upgraded KITH and developed KITH Treats to serve up unique experiences with a twist. KITH treats was conceived by Ronnie’s love for cereal mixed with his dreams of opening a savvy cereal bar in the bustling city of New York. Luckily, Ronnie was able to combine his love for fashion and cereal infused treats into the successful KITH Treats. Being that we both love cereal, ice cream and trendy fashion, we decided we needed to make a visit to the Manhattan location.
The first time we walked into KITH, we were immediately stunned by the interior of the store when we became hypnotized by a loop of white sneakers cascading down into what appeared to be a tunnel. We came to realize this crazy design is actually a trick on the eyes with mirrors making it appear to be an infinite circle of shoes. When we were finally capable of moving our curiosity from this, we remembered what we came for and went upstairs for KITH Treats. Much like the downstairs area, the upstairs had a sleek and futuristic design. Basically, KITH has a super dope design set up and if you are really into that and fashion, but not so much the foodie scene, you should go check it out regardless.
ANYWAY, KITH Treats offers a selection of cereal based ice cream shown on a lit-up LED board behind the treat counter. Frosted Flakes, Coco Puffs, Rice Krispies, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and many more cereal flavor favorites are included within the menu options. Each ice cream combo has a unique name inspiration, varying from famous rappers to the KITH owner himself, but we chose to create our own and go with a Lucky Charm and Oreo infused vanilla swirl. After our taste test we had to award KITH Treats with five stars. The ice cream was thick, rich, sweet and exactly like cereal. Next time we visit, we plan to try the "Bam Bam," a Rice Krispie, Cookie Crisp, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Kit Kat, crushed Oreo and marshmallow charm mix named after Action Bronson. If you are looking for cereal in the form of ice cream, this is the best place for you to fulfill your sweet tooth craving. With so many KITH Treat options to choose from, each cereal flavor will bring you back to your childhood Saturday morning glory days.
